Acknowledgment of receipt of an electronic abstract submission will be sent to the submitter (corresponding) author via email from the IGCC website. If you do not receive an email acknowledgement, please contact L. Favennec at 7thIGCC@univ-rouen.fr
Abstract review and acceptance/rejection notification. After the submission deadline, all abstracts with complete status will be forwarded to review to members of the Scientific Committee according topic, yet members of the Scientific Comittee reserve the right to redirect to another topic if suitable.
Abstract will be reviewed anonymously.
Organizers and members of the Scientific Comittee will never edit the scientific content of a submission nor make changes to a submission. Accepted abstracts will be published exactly as submitted.
Notification of acceptance status will be sent on March the 1st, 2019.
N.B. Abstracts will be definitively accepted when the presenting author is fully registered
Submission of an abstract constitutes a commitment by the author(s) to present if accepted.
Are eligible for submission: abstracts describing original basic, translational/clinical and related environmental research related to Giardia duodenalis, Cryptosporidium spp. or Cyclospora cayetanensis,
Number of abstracts per author. There is no limit to the number of abstracts an author may submit.
Author commitments. If an abstract is accepted, the presenter must be one of the co-authors listed. The author(s) must accept sole responsibility for statements in their submitted abstract.
Disclosure. Each presenting author is expected to disclose to the audience any real or apparent conflict(s) of interest in the context of oral or poster abstract presentation.
Abstract withdrawal requests should be emailed to 7thIGCC@univ-rouen.fr (include your abstract control number, title and the presenting author’s name in your email).
All abstracts, presentations and question-and-answer periods will be in English.
Please use single spacing and arial 11 fonts.
Maximum word limit. An abstract (with or without one table) of not more than 400 words which includes the text body, and the optional references and funding information; and excludes: the title, the names of authors/co-authors, and authors’ affiliations.
Tables and figures. The use of not more than one table is permitted. Do not include any figure or footnotes.
Do not include in the abstract content:
References, if added in the abstract body, will be included against the word count.
Preferred method of presentation. You will be asked (see submission form below) to choose one of the following before submitting your abstract form. Oral presentation or poster presentation, yet the Scientific Comittee reserves the right to make the final determination as to how present your abstract.
Abstract publication. The full text of accepted abstracts will be published as submitted in the 7th IGCC handbook.
Selected accepted abstracts, will be published in the Journal « Parasite »
Ethical issues. All submitted abstracts involving human experimentation must conform with the principles of the declaration of Helsinki of the World Medical Association. All submissions for consideration must be in compliance with consensus guidelines assuring responsible use of animals in research and testing.
Oral presentation: 12 minutes including discussion
Poster presentation: poster size: format A0, i.e. 84,1cm X 119,1cm.
NB: posters can be printed in advance bt Rouen University if received as .pdf via 7thIGCC@univ-rouen.fr before Friday 21June 2019, 12h GMT with a payment of 30 euros to Rouen Tourisme. Printed posters will be available to presenters upon their arrival in the Conference site.
